Road to dawn.
This is an iconic photo, that I consider very representative of this project. The tools of the trade, literally hard as iron, not dirty but worn out to the point of exhaustion. Weary from the labour of the night just like the men who used them, resting as they search for a moment of peace.
At the Tsukiji fish market you will find the modern samurai work: the katanas are used to clean the tuna and the marks on the knives indicate where the fish have fallen under their blade. To be worn means to have been of service for a long time and yet still remain standing, in the forefront. With honour.
